From Mug To Mike is one tech guy’s attempt at making singers out of everyone who has potential. In a series of bathroom singer workshops, he invites people to explore their vocal talent across the country. Everyone gets to record their melody {or flat histrionics} in a professional studio so they can get a realistic picture of their future.

What Is It?
Who Is It For?
People whose singing talent has so far only been witnessed by the shower curtains and the mirror, maybe? If you’re someone who’s terrified of crowds or have had debilitating stage fright that kept you away from turning into a rock star, this is a good place to open up. Also, from 5-year-olds to 85-year-olds, everyone’s welcome.
Why Should I Go For It?
The only prerequisite, they tell us, is that you should have sung in the bathroom at least once in your life. There’s no diktat on how old or how professionally trained you need to be to participate. You’re even free to choose a genre.
This workshop will help you study your pitch with fellow singers who are on the same page. Experts will not just arm you with tips and tricks and voice modulation exercises to hone your skills but also give you a realistic estimate of where you stand with respect to your potentially {not-drowning in the tub} singing career.
Finally, when you’ve kicked off that stage fright, they’ll let you record a song in a proper studio without any instruments, just so your voice gets all the attention. This voice recording will be emailed to you along with the mentor’s comments on how you fared {report card on email FTW}.
