Fathers Day is just around the corner (on 16 June, for those of you who were just about to Google it) and if you too want to do something extra than the cliche preparing breakfast and giving a gift, the best thing to do is actually plan out a fun day with your father. So, all there's left to do is read this list and pick out the things you and your dad will enjoy!

Long Drive And Breakfast At Amrik Sukhdev

Dads love drives with the family and a hearty meal at the end of it is even more rewarding. Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba is only one hour drive from Delhi so it doesn't take too much of your day. If you're not already familiar, they offer a range of delicious buttery parathas. Sit outdoors if the weather allows it or you can dine inside. There's plenty of parking space so it doesn't feel too much of a hassle and their super quick service deserves a shoutout!

If you don't want to go all the way but papa loves parathas then head to Moolchand Parathewala. They're serving all kinds of paranthas—from the classic egg and paneer parantha to chili garlic and aalo parantha.

Morning Trek At Aravali Hills

If you and your dad love to bond over sports or are adventure seekers in general then this should be your pick. Leopard Trail in Aravali Hills, Gurgaon, is beautiful and makes for a small yet pleasant trek. It's lesser-known but definitely not deserted, which makes it a safe place to go to. If you own a 4x4 automobile then you can come here for off-roading as well, I've personally come here for that and it was pretty awesome, to say the least.

Relaxing Spa Or Grooming

We all know how fathers tend to neglect their own comfort for the comfort of their children. And so this is the perfect opportunity to take him to a luxurious, relaxing, and rejuvenating spa or take him to the salon for a nice grooming experience. We'd suggest checking out Aheli Spa at The Roseate, it's on the pricier side but guarantees a superb experience, plus, they also have a salon.

If your dad prefers to stay at home then you can even book a massage through Urban Clap. They bring their own tables and essential oils and clean up the mess afterwards! The royal massage options start at INR 1,599 only.

Kite Flying At Haveli Dharampura

Relive childhood memories in the soul of the capital. Haveli Dharampura is a beautiful property in Old Delhi and has a kite flying event followed by a 3-course high tea meal every Saturday and Sunday. You can even end the day here with Kathak performances and dinner at Lakhori or choose to head to Jama Masjid for some soulful food.

Go Karting At F9

Go Karting with your friends is fun, but it's even better to challenge the person who taught you how to drive, don't you think? We'd suggest going to F9 Go Karting or Sky Karting by Smaaash in Gurgaon! The price starts at INR 400 for 10 laps and INR 500 respectively.

Shopping At Malls

Time to shop for the man who has always shopped for you. There's about a 100% chance your father's going to say, 'Iski kya zarurat hai?' but we all know getting gifts feels pretty awesome. And when you're at the shopping hub we call Delhi, how can we miss out. We have a few options for every area, there's Ambience Mall in Gurgaon, DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj, Select Citywalk in Saket, and DLF Mall Of India in Noida.

Go Golfing At Hamoni Cafe

Regardless of whether your dad enjoys golfing or not this is a fun experience. It's a 17-acre property and has golfing gears available for you so you don't have to worry about carrying yours. There's a cafe there too, so you can enjoy a meal in lush greens and end the day on a high note.

Dinner at Bukhara

Food is honestly huge in Delhi and every second place is pretty good. When it comes to deciding where to go for special occasions we'd suggest Bukhara by ITC Maurya. The Dal Bukhara has attained legendary status and for good reason. It's slow-cooked for 18 hours straight in a tandoor and the creamy texture remains unmatched.

Go Book Shopping

If you and your dad share a common love of books, we suggest going to a bookshop and shop a couple of books that you'd read over the year, maybe even share progress; a personal book club that would last much more than just a day. We'd recommend a bookstore with a cafe so you can shop and chill there for a bit, reading your newest purchases. There are quite a few cafe-cum-bookstores you can find in Delhi, like Bahrisons and Fullcircle but we suggest Kunzum as they give a free coffee coupon with every book purchase and they have five store across Delhi and Gurgaon.
