Jaipur seems like a second home for us Dilliwaalas, {right after or before Agra, depending on your family's preferences}. School trips, weekend getaways, bridal finery and more recently the Jaipur Literature Festival, has made damn sure Jaipur has been a frequented Indian city. This means the restaurants and food are also close cousins. So, imagine our joy when we hear Jaipur is bringing one of its best to the National Capital Region.
Spice Court-Jaipur, a multi-cuisine Jaipur hotspot has opened its doors for home delivery in Gurgaon. As for their menu, its significantly shorter than its Jaipur sibling, but the A-listers have made it across borders. By this we mean the Laal Maas, Junglee Maas, Keema and Dal Batti and the Gattey Curry. So far only for home-delivery, the ultimate aim is to offer a dine-in feature.
Better still, Spice Court has also got with it Dzurt, its neighboring patisserie. As super fans, we can assure you, you've never eaten almond cake like theirs before. Although the Nutella cake comes close. Dzurt also serves breakfast, coffee and tea, and gives you the option of eating in.
What are we wishing for next? Perhaps infiltrating another border, and showing up in Delhi.
