If you’ve been a regular, you’ll know that CP has made a remarkable recovery from its fall from grace. Through this great comeback, we have but one grouse: All the new pubs/bars look the same. Master Of Malts successfully cuts through the clutter. It has focussed a lot of attention on getting that Irish pub feel right, and the food is actually one of the best we’ve had in Central Delhi.

Tikka It Off Your Bucket List

Spread over two floors, it’s done up in all wood and isn’t the usual dingy, Sufi-playing me-too in CP. For starters, it’s got a European-themed cigar room, and its music never gets deafeningly loud. With its laid-back {but grown-up} vibe, we think MOM is as fun a place for post-work hangouts with colleagues as it is for old school buds meeting after years. In fact, even if we were going for a first date, and were hoping not to let awkward silences come in the way, we’d pick this place for convenience, cocktails and the best dahi kebabs ever.

We began our evening with a Whiskey Sour and Cosmopolitan, cuz’ we were initially scared to experiment because of a general inability of the CP pub contingent to surprise us. Once the drinks were had, we realised that we were clearly underestimating the power of MOM’s talented army of chefs. Everything that followed from there, including the dal makhani shooters with cheese naan and Jerk Caribbean chicken had us polishing our plates clean.

Even though the menu is a big, overwhelming mish-mash of everything from tapas to tikkas and pasta to street food, friends who’ve been here rave about the North Indian selection the most. The paneer tikka is a total winner as well.

So, We're Saying...

We hear that they’ve just introduced a Sunday brunch that’s worth ditching your blanket for…

PS: There will be alcoholic milkshakes to wake you up.
