South Goa is a haven for all of us who love to immerse ourselves into the calm and quiet the state has to offer, every now and then. And pilgrims of Goa now have the definition of luxury as one of the many stunning options on the shore. St. Regis has finally found home in India, with their second property, and the first resort now open on Cavelossim.
While fans of the iconic South Goa establishment, The Leela might be disappointed with this change, the Mariott Hotels group has made sure it offers more than what patrons will miss about the marquee Goa property. Located between the Sal River and the Arabian Sea, the resort covers an expansive area of 49 acres, and looks over the Mobor Beach, which is blessed with a lush green cover and freshwater lagoons. The resort itself is also created keeping a blend of Portugese architecture and its Goan love affair with Indian influences.
The room fare is upwards of INR 24,000 per night, so the trip might have to be prefaced with a bit of saving up (for us, at least).
With over 200 rooms, two dedicated bars, a huge swimming pool, and the pristine beach, St. Regis promises to be a sanctuary for those looking to immerse themselves in both nature and luxury. It is also the perfect opportunity for travel and hoteling enthusiasts to have a taste of New York in India.
