Stay Banaras is a heritage property from the 60s that has been revamped into looking a lot like a cute cafe or hotel in Europe. What’s more is that the BnB’s located close to a number of ghats and small temples and a night here costs only around INR 590. Make a trip to Benaras ASAP!
Properties like these are far and few, let alone in Varanasi; So, when we came across Stay Banaras, our broke, city-tired soul was overjoyed.
They had us at yellow (& white). We can’t get enough of this BnB’s front entrance with all-white interiors and pops of yellow. Tell us this doesn’t look like a set from a movie?! We’ve already finalised a bunch of pretty spots at this property that are going to be our haunt for all the photo-ops or just for chilling even – Stay Banaras’ lovely lawn being one of them. You can kick back in a hammock, lounge in their terrace with a chilled iced tea or play a round of badminton in the garden area.
They’ve got three types of AC rooms – the Classic Room (starting at INR 2,990), the Premium Room (starting at INR 3,990) and perfect for the broke travellers, the Budget Room (starting at INR 799). Other pros include: 24-hr room service, free WiFi and breakfast, mini bar (yay) and the fact that Stay Banaras is close to all major tourist spots around town.
Daswamedh Ghat, Kedar Ghat, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Harishchandra Ghat and Jantar Mantar Mandir are all within a 3km radius of this BnB.
Everyone goes to Manali and Kasol, so why not give Varanasi a shot? It’s colourful, has so much to offer when it comes to India’s heritage and well, the magical-looking ghats are a good enough excuse to make the trip. Sorted for the next long weekend then?
