Gold’s Gym Gurgaon, and the adjoining Noww Café, encourages patrons to eat well and keep fit with one of north India’s largest gyms.

Glossy Gym

After using the complimentary gym parking in the basement of the Gold Souk mall, and the elevators opening right out into the long, shiny, black marble reception of Gold’s Gym, you could be forgiven for wondering if you’d walking into a luxury spa.

Gold’s Gym in Gurgaon tries hard to cultivate that image of class; just look at those gold plaques all shouting Best Gym 2015 or Winner No. 1 Gym that are hanging in the reception. However, once you look past that shiny façade you will realise they are actually a great place to get fit.

What Is On Offer?

Boasting, as one of the employees stated, one of the country’s largest gyms {around 12,000 sq. ft.} Gold’s has a Spinning Studio, a Group Exercise Studio, huge locker space {with tons of showers and a steam room}, and the main workout space.

With amped music, and blue and purple lighting, the gym area can feel like a nightclub—that is until you see the serious expressions of the people working out.

Post Workout Cravings

Connected to Gold’s Gym, but with its own elevator, is Noww Café. A separate entity in itself, it is nonetheless in partnership with Gold’s and as such focuses on healthy food. With a wide range of dishes and nice little outdoor space, we actually found this café quite enjoyable {we ate a Half and Half pizza and Wild Mushroom soup} and would recommend it to anyone hungry after their workout {and who isn’t?}.

The entrees were huge, and packed with carbs, for those of us who actually went to the gym before eating. They also offered an array of protein shakes and had an all-day egg menu {one of our faves}.

A Sense Of Community

The 500 odd members at Gold’s Gym are helped by about 16 to 18 trainers {for classes, studios and general workouts in the main gym}, and the community holds regular events on Sundays, between 8am – 10am, to get together and exercise through cycling, running and forms of dance.
