Summer holidays can be the best time of a kid’s life, or the most boring depending on how well you plan it out. You can dilly dally your time away or enrol your precious into a camp so he/she can socialise, learn new things and have a ball. Here’s a list of the guys you need to get in touch with if you want to go summer camping!

Pug Marks

Focused on discovery, Pug Marks is about wildlife, trekking and adventure. Kids not only explore forts, forests, mountains, birds and animals but are also made to take part in debates on issues like tiger conservation. Equal emphasis on brain and brawn – this one gets a thumbs up from us.

With a diverse team hailing from backgrounds such as outdoor and adventure, behavioural sciences, the armed forces to theatre and arts, and education, Inme aims to educate and create learning situations using adventures and challenges. Directed towards 9-18 year olds, Inme provides tented accommodation on campus and organised activities, challenges, learning and informal fun sessions around the campus.

Claying Thoughts

If your little one has an artsy side and shows an inclination to create things with mud or play dough, you may have a fledgling potter on hand. Claying Thoughts teaches kids {4 years and above} to handle natural earthen clay and create their own masterpieces. They have a summer camp programme starting this May.

Smile Foundation India

Smile has created a camp which propagates life skills interspersed with fun arts and crafts. They lay equal emphasis on personality development, time management, communication skills, role-play, theatre, painting, yogic kriyas and even conduct quiz sessions. It’s essentially a fun –filled version of summer school.

Youreka

Youreka organises adventure camps for children between the ages of 9-17. They have different programmes which takes you to places like Sitlakhet, Kathgodam, Yercaud Kambre, Sai Ropa. Activities include mountain biking, rock climbing, riverside backpacking and much more. They even have expeditions to Singapore, Switzerland and France.

Barry John’s Workshop

For the theatrically inclined children {16-22 years}, Barry John’s in Saket provides a great summer camp which includes skit performances and even writing your own play, complete with character development and dialogues. They get a certificate of participation to take home at the end of 4 weeks.

Intellitots Learning

Gurgaon-based pre-school Intellitots is conducting a fun ‘Little engineers at play’ summer camp. The focus is on science inquiry, building, creating and inventing. But all work and no play? Of course not! There will also be splash pool parties, games and stories for kids to bond over.
