After a hard day of bargaining at Janpath, Fresc Co is the perfect Mediterranean break. The vibrant interiors will calm you down {maybe a beer too} and the fresh food here is always a delight.

Going to Spain or Italy for dinner isn’t that easy, but this restaurant manages to bring that dining experience to you. White, turquoise and sea blue hues make up most of the space here, and the weathered wood tables add to the beachy, shack-like appeal.

Authentic Mediterranean recipes are exactly what this place serves; one can instantly smell the fragrance of olive oil and fresh herbs here, and they have a live kitchen area where you can see the chefs doing what they do best.

We started our meal with a portion of chicken and apple salad in a cucumber ring, and a mezze platter and were surprised when the mezze wasn’t the usual Delhi version of the dish. The salad too was fresh and orange zest just made it better.

The turkey ham sandwich, Hawaiian pizza and pepperoni pizza were what came next, and were gobbled up before we knew it. Our favourite was the Hawaiian pizza which was thin, crisp and oh-so-delicious.

The Penne Al Puttanesca and the Norwegian salmon steak were two of our favourites here too. Both dishes were equally balanced in spices and we have to give a special mention to the rich Pomodoro sauce in the puttanesca. If you’re looking for refreshing drinks to beat the heat, Bay Breeze and Watermelon Smash are two cocktails you should try.

Do try the Blueberry Brioche pudding here for sure, it is just the best among the desserts.

The restaurant is beautiful, and the food managed to impress my very picky companion {which is rare}, and trust me, that means something. Sunday’s are best for visiting this place as it offers an amazing brunch.
