What Makes It Awesome

Thanks to the skincare industry now we all know how important it is to wear sunscreen every day. I am obsessed with sunscreens and keep trying new ones every now and then. Recently I came across SunScoop and instantly thought it is an Indian dupe of Supergoop. The brand is cruelty-free and dermatologically tested offering non-comedogenic, broad-spectrum sunscreens that not only save you from UV rays but also offer blue light protection.

Currently, they offer only six sunscreen variants - Invisible sunscreen (SPF 40) which is transparent, lightweight and has a gel formula (also my personal favourite). Second, water-based fluid sunscreen (SPF 60) is great for the face as well as the body and leaves you with a dewy finish. For people with oily skin, the matte sunscreen (SPF 60) is an apt choice, the glow sunscreen (SPF 60) has a tint that leaves no white cast (like all other variants) but in fact, leaves your skin with a subtle glowy sheen, and lastly, a sunscreen stick (SPF 50) that makes reapplication super easy.

Just like their invisible sunscreen, they too are super transparent as a brand, with all their certifications uploaded on their website with regards to SPF, PA+++ coverage as well as derma testing. Before bringing the product to market they tested it on 400 (willing) people, twice, which just means that they take feedback quite seriously. It’s appreciated that they have a long ‘No’ list, stating out 9 ingredients that don’t make it to your sunscreen for the good!

Now there’s always a debate on how much sunscreen to use, and thanks to this brand they’ve stated it pretty clearly. You’ve to squeeze out about two finger lengths of product and massage it all over your face, neck, ears and other exposed areas. They mention reapplying every two hours.

Price: Starting at INR 349 and going up to INR 895
