New in town, The Jalebi Shop is perfect for a quick bite or a full meal.
Ginormous Jalebis & Hot Pakoras, Sit Down For Street Food At This New, All-White Cafe
Shortcut
From Gohana To Golf Course Road
White walls, statement lights and pretty tables with teal accents – The Jalebi Shop looks like a cute cafe, almost out of place on the dusty strip of Golf Course Road. However, the menu caught us off-guard. Gohana-style jalebis, chole-bhature, pakoras and shakes, the chef at The Jalebi Shop has curated a lovely selection of home-style, comfort food.
We cut right to the chase and ordered a massive jalebi {these are meant for sharing, guys!} for INR 135. Prepared in desi ghee, these are sinful, delicious and not overly sweet. If you can’t bear the idea of finishing a kulcha-sized jalebi yourself, The Jalebi Shop has the regular version as well.
A Meal To Remember
Balance all that sweetness and get either the aloo-puri or the chole-bhature next. We tried the latter and are happy to report that the bhature were fluffy, flaky and delicious, and the chole were spicy and yummy. For INR 90, you get two bhature and a refill of the chole.
We binged and also got some paneer pakoras; paired with a cup of tea {or cold coffee, like we did}, these are just evening snack you’ve been craving.
So, We're Saying...
Located on Golf Course Road, The Jalebi Shop is great for a 5pm snack.
#LBBTip
Don’t forget to check out their selection of cakes and muffins – we packed up a slice of the carrot cake {the cream cheese is made in-house} that was damn near perfect.
