What Is It?
The Surajkund International Crafts Fair by the Haryana Tourism Departments is back with its 31st edition this month.
Who Is It For?
Those looking to browse through the traditional arts and crafts of India and 20 countries across the globe {including Zimbabwe, Tunisia, Mongolia and South Africa}. There are plenty of shopping opportunities at prices that won't burn a hole in your pocket and also a lot of cultural insights.
Why Should I Go For It?
This year, the fair has partnered with Egypt as a country so we can look forward to a lot more diversity. You'll see a world of rich heritage and culture. Apart from the handicrafts, clothes and accessories you can score, you will also catch dance performances from various parts of the world.
It's a treat to watch, really.
Anything Else?
What happens when you've shopped till you drop? You drag yourself to one of the 36 food stalls they've set up. Sample local dishes from Punjab, Haryana and of course, Jharkhand. For the momo lover, there will be Oriental stalls.
They've set up a bunch of mobile ATM vans but we'd still suggest heading here with some pre-drawn dough.
When: Feb 1 - Feb 15
Where: Surajkund {8 kms from Delhi}
