The next time you find yourself at Yum Yum Cha, make sure you look out for their new menu items. Baos, sushi, mochi ice cream and noodle bowls – these additions are summer-friendly and really yum yum, ya.
Chocolate Noodles & Spicy Sushi, Yum Yum Cha’s New Menu Has Something For Everyone
Shortcut
Let The Fun Begin!
Yum Yum Cha has introduced two new Fun Bottles and the Chilli Cucumber, with the right mix of sugar, spice and everything nice, is a worthy alternative to our go-to Thai Orange & Kaffir Lime Fun Bottle. If you have a sweet tooth, you might like the Pink Pomelo more.
Then prepare your tummies for a dim sum and sushi feast – while there’s lots of new starters as well {think Sweet Potato fries, Bull-gogi or the very tempting Aromatic prawns}, we’re suckers for sushi and insist on big helpings of it every time we’re at Yum Yum Cha.
What We Loved
The Lotus Chicken Dim Sum {sandwiched between two pieces of lotus stem} stood out, as did the Black Bean Prawn variant. The sushi stars were the Rock and Roll Sushi Rolls, topped with spicy prawn tempura, the Poke Poke Tuna Sushi Rolls as well as the Spicy Summer {vegetarian} sushi, garnished with beautiful threads of spice, that we’d happily munch on all day.
Health freaks, you can now order one of their sizzling stone bowls and enjoy it without any of the guilt that usually comes with consuming carbs. Just swap out the sticky rice for Udon noodles or quinoa – we paired the former with their Chicken Massaman curry and polished off this big bowl of comfort food despite gorging on our sushi and dim sum starters.
We couldn’t resist trying the Chocolate Sesame noodles, heaped on to a thick block of hazelnut chocolate and topped with rice crispies. The dark chocolate noodles complement the sweetness of the base and make for an indulgent end to the meal.
So, We’re Saying…
Yum Yum Cha’s new menu items stay true to the restaurant’s USP – there’s something for everyone, from fussy eaters to experimental foodies. Next family dinner, sorted.
