Rishikesh-based adventure company, Jumpin Heights, has flawlessly planned and executed 50,000 bungee jumps from a jaw-dropping height of 83 metres since its inception in 2006.

Got Guts?

About 15 kms away from the landmark Lakshman Jhoola, Jumpin Heights is located in Mohan Chatti village. Assemble at the HQ for a briefing session and a weigh-in – the maximum permissible weight for bungee jumping is 110 kgs.

Sign a waiver, get your game face on and then walk to the bungee bridge, about 400 metres away. However, this short walk is not nearly enough time to prepare you for what comes next.

One, Two, Three – Bungee!

The reason we entrusted Jumpin Heights with our first ever bungee experience was because of their thorough safety checks, a highly-qualified jump team from New Zealand and the fact that they’ve created the country’s first fixed-platform Bungy – performed from a professional cantilever.

Although, that doesn’t make the view from the top any less frightening. After the team has you nice and harnessed {by the ankles}, you have a quick countdown to catch your breath. When they scream ‘bungy’, that your cue to jump!

The feeling of {almost} free-falling from a height of 272 feet is indescribable and, given that Jumpin Heights goes above and beyond to ensure you have the greatest and safest jump, we’d definitely recommend planning a trip soon.

What Else?

While the star attraction at Jumpin Heights is the bungee, we couldn’t resist trying the Flying Fox as well. While the initial push-off from a cliff is definitely stomach-churning, this is recommended for the slightly-less adventurous folk. If you’re feeling brave, try the Giant Swing –  but we only really had the bravado {and money} for two out of three.

Price: INR 3,500 {for the bungee jump and Giant Swing}, INR 1,700 {for the Flying Fox}

#LBBTip

Don’t leave without video proof of your jump – Jumpin Heights will give you a DVD, as well as an ‘I’ve Got Guts’ pin, that certifies you’re a badass.
