Until 7th July, you have yet another way of showing your loved ones just how much you love them. Move over V-day, the Tanabata Festival is here at Guppy by ai. The idea is to write a love note for your beloved and tie it on the Guppy Tree. You have to click a picture of your note and share it with the tag #HerNameWasTanabata {believe us, the treats to be won will be delicious}. We went one step further and tried out the Summer menu, which we think is a whole new level of gastronomical delight altogether. Starting out with an interesting Smoked Pumpkin Soup and Seaweed Salad, Guppy by ai is looking to recreate the summer season, which involves the harvest of pumpkins, seaweed and seafood in Japan.
Speaking of seafood, the Prawn Tempura Sushi and Futomaki are just the right combination of pungent and flavourful. This is the best way of starting someone out on a journey of Japanese cuisine. If you're looking for a big lunch and big portions, then the Chicken Katsu Curry is what you want to order. For us though, the tenderloin was an excellent option {who doesn't love soy sauce!} along with a garlic fried rice. Finishing off with a creamy and sweet Strawberry Cheesecake Ice-cream, the summer menu offers a lot of variety to anyone looking to spend an afternoon adventuring through the tastes that Japan has on offer.
