Humble Offerings at the tea shop - Teasta in Noida

Nothing soothes our souls quite like a long drive or a walk with an old friend, and of course this must include 'cutting' chai, with the possibility of snacks. We've found our fix for those quiet nights, and you can head to this one in your pyjamas - hello Teasta!

An inconspicuous hole-in-the-wall, Teasta is run by a couple who were originally tea planters. Their menu, just like the place, is sweet and small, offering up the likes of jasmine green tea and hazelnut coffee, as well as grilled sandwiches. All of it is made fresh, and reminds you to appreciate the simple things in life.

There is absolutely no seating, save for the few stools they provide right outside the establishment. People usually opt for perching on the hoods of their cars, or on the embankments outside. This is definitely a go-to for all university students, and if you've moved on from that phase of life, you're sure to have a throwback moment. The homeliness of the shop draws people {especially residents} in; there is an aura of contentment about the place, a no frills freshness that puts commercial set-ups to shame.

Notes in our Little Black Book |

Savour introspective, quiet nights with Teasta, or as Noida residents refer to it - the Tea Shop. You can expect fresh tea and coffee {of many variations} as well as grilled sandwiches and the Delhi staple - warm momos. All of the taste and quality of a large commercial shop, sans the frills and the sky-high prices. The next time you're on a long drive, we recommend lounging here for a bit, beverage in hand, and meaningful conversation in play.
