Delhi, we have good news for you! The Rajasthan-made, Terai, an Indian Dry gin, is finally in the market in Delhi, and we’re pumped. We’ve waited a few months for it to launch for us commoners, and it has. You and I can get our hands on it at places like RNA Agencies, Vasant Square Mall, Visa Spring Consultants in the DLG South Court Mall, and Galleria Mall at Devinder Kumar Diwan. Of course, a few more outlets will have stocks on this modern version of the London Dry, that is a grain-to-glass style.
Like most gins, this too has 11 botanicals, including juniper berries, tulsi, coriander, fennel, lemon peel, orange peel, lavender, rose, angelica and orris root. Try making a proper Martini out of this one, as we hear it’s got a hint of sweet, spicy and a little citrus. Check out the cap of the Terai bottles. They are a nod to the local craft from Channapatna that is famous for lacquerware, and is exactly like one of those beautifully coloured wooden toys, reminiscent of old-school kids’ nurseries!
Go get yourself a bottle. They're priced at INR 1,800 for 750ml. For those outside of Delhi, contact your Delhi crew immediately and ask them to stock up for you!
