What Is It?

The Color Run, also known as the ‘happiest 5k on the planet’, has finally made its way to India and the third stop for this event {after Mumbai and Bangalore} is Delhi. The world’s largest running series {it’s held across 35+ countries} The Color Run is just that – a run with lots of colours and a whole lot of fun. It’s a unique way of celebrating health, happiness and individuality in the most exciting way possible.

Who Is It For?

If you’ve taken a resolution to get fit this year, The Color Run could be a baby step {5k} towards your goal. Since the idea of this run is to also have a great time {& not just fitness}, maybe get your friends along too for a different kind of bonding session? Honestly, we don’t think that a 5k run with friends {or family}, tons of colour and the coolest gigs and prizes can be anything but fun.

Why Should I Go For It?

If the fact that this run combines Holi, fitness and cool gigs isn’t reason enough for you to buy a ticket right away, we’ve got a few more.

The run will begin in the designated colour zones with a massive colour throw and along the course, participants can draw graffiti or write whatever they wish to on the Dream Walls. We’re also told that there’ll be giant unicorns, so keep your cameras ready for a quick photo op during the course. Once you do finish the run, gear up for a Finish Festival {yep, they’re going all out for you!} with performances by famous artists like Neeti Mohan, Siddharth Mahadevan and DJ Hussain.

A limited-edition Dream Tour race shirt, embroidered headband and a one-of-a-kind Unicorn Finisher’s Medal are some other reasons for you to make it across the finish line. Oh, and you know what else makes this run the happiest 5k on the planet? Fun temporary tattoos and the frequent colour throws. Now, we can’t help but be excited about it like a little kid.

Anything Else?

We could all do with some colour therapy {including the kids} and The Color Run seems like the perfect occasion. Follow their Facebook page for more updates.
