The Firki Bar in Rajouri Garden is a cafe during the day and a lounge by night. It’s the kind of place where you can hangout with a large group of friends, catch up with them after a long and dull week over some great drinks, hookah and soul-satisfying food.

It's All In The Ambience

It occupies two floors – the first floor being slightly more cafe-esque with its red-bricked rustic walls and Central Perk-like couches from F.R.I.E.N.D.S, while the second floor has bar stools and a more grunge-themed decor. We totally love the modified graffiti of The Beatles’ Abbey Road image which has vodka shots and liquor bottles {certainly a great background for Instagram-worthy pictures!}.

Firki also hosts live gigs and plays all kinds of Hindi music from soulful and peppy to retro and albumn songs. They even screen live matches, so you might want to drop by to support your favourite team and in case they lose, there’s always alcohol and hookah to make you feel better.

Food So Good? So Goooood!

If you’re one of those people who don’t care about the ambience, you’ll be glad to know that Firki’s food is even better than the decor we’ve been raving about. With items like Naanizza, Molecular Papdi Chaat, Imli Bunta, Mango Mint Basil Smoothie on its menu, this lounge is sure to impress you with its unique and appetizing dishes.

You have to try Firki Ke Mushrooms which are button mushrooms filled with cheese, spices and more cheese. This mushroom starter was as good as {or even better than} chicken. Now, when a non vegetarian says that mushroom equals chicken, you know that it means something. At Firki even the most simplest Paneer curry will bowl you over with its rich flavours. Also, do try their Jamun Cocktail that has a bang-on kick.

So, We're Saying...

For throwing a party or for your weekly outing with friends, Firki is the place to be. Oddly enough, the place’s name has no connection to its food, service or ambience and we’re kind of happy about that.
