Chicago Blues With Karan Mahajan Band, The Piano Man

The Karan Mahajan Band is a project led by guitarist and composer Karan Mahajan. In the day and age of widespread commercialism and digital processed music, this project focuses on live performance, songwriting and extended collective improvisation. The band’s repertoire is a collection of original compositions by Karan, as well as covers of Traditional Blues, Funk, and Soul music. Karan has studied formally at the Global Music Institute and has worked with various musicians in the Delhi circuit including Takar Nabam (Same Sky), Isaac Smith (Sneak Attack), and Raphaelle Brochet and Philippe Aerts (The Piano Man).
