What Makes It Awesome

The idea of sustainability has become a way to think and lead life consciously with, rather than a trend. So, if you happen to be someone who aims to live a sustainable life (and realistically), then you'll love The Pitara Project. Based out of Mumbai, the brand is on LBB and offers country-wide shipping.

This brand retails beautiful, handcrafted wooden plates, spoons, forks, marble coasters, bowls, minimal glass boxes, wooden pen stands, and wooden trays. The Pitara Project also aims to encourage the creation and consumption of Indian handicrafts. Their collection of Decor Accessories ranges from sleek geometrical lamps to wooden boxes and so much more. If you're looking to spruce up your space, bookmark this section.

We personally love their wooden plates and trays. These are painted very beautifully, are colourful and mostly made out of mango wood. We also love their nacho plates which have conjoint bowl slots in the middle for salsa/dips, and glass boxes that can be used to store anything from accessories to makeup. Their prices start INR 900 for jewellery holders and smaller accessories, while hand-painted plates and bowls can go up to INR 1700.

Price: INR 300 onwards

Pro-Tip

You can buy their products online on their website, Propshop and World Art Community too.

Two Things; 1.) I like to think I live life with rose coloured glasses on, but really they’re black, and I can’t see a thing. (And to be honest, that helps in unseeing the humongous sattire and mess the world is). 2.) Mostly fumbling and staggering through life as gracefully as I can, with an occasional glass of wine here and there.
