Head To This Majnu Ka Tila Restaurant & Gorge On Tibetan & Bhutanese Delicacies

What Makes It Awesome

Tara is a pocket-friendly place hidden in the tiny lanes of Majnu Ka Tila, and it's perfect for students who want great food, good beer and a quite and warm ambience. Try the buff momos and Kothe, along with the chilli garlic noodles and buff fry. They serve chilled beer cans and a range of other drinks - virgin mojitos, ice teas, and other hot drinks.

Ahe place is run by a Tibetan family, with the owner taking care of you directly. She recommends great Tibetan and Bhutanese delicacies and if you're lucky, you can sit with her daughter and indulge in childhood fantasies of colouring books and legos.

The restaurant is divided into two sections. For the most authentic experience, pick the low seating tables, that are comfortable, spacious and intimate. The spot is never crowded and there is always room for more.

What Could Be Better?

The service is a little slow, as they are always low on staff. But the food is absolutely worth the wait!

What's My Pro Tip?

Take a cab, auto or metro, but don't drive there as there is no space for parking.

Anything Else?

Plus, its really close to North Campus and is perfect for a good meal between classes and a chilled beer to end the evening.

Foodie, Beer Lover, Animal Lover. I love spicy food, well mixed cocktails and street food. The way to my heart is through a pint of the best beer or well made cold coffee. Can beat anyone in a Gol-Gappa eating contest.
