What Makes It Awesome

Chunnamal Ki Haveli in Chandni Chowk is one of the very few old pieces of architectures remaining in a great condition. If the inscription over the walls is to be believed, then it dates back to 1848. It is spread over one acre of land with 128 rooms built on three floors.

However, most of the part of the ground floor has now been commercialised and there are nearly a hundred plus shops running their business. The terrace gives you a panoramic view of the Chandni Chowk Market.

What's My Pro Tip?

It has never been easy to take your own vehicle to Chandni Chowk. So, take a metro and get down at Chandni Chowk towards the Town Hall side.

Anything Else?

Chunnamal Haveli has been the home to Lala Chunnamal, one of the richest merchants of his time in the mid-1800s. He is said to be one of the very first people in the city to own a car and a telephone.

The haveli has high-ceiling and vintage style windows and pillars. They even have a fireplace existing since the very beginning of its establishment. It is like heaven to a person in love with this type of architecture and history. Currently, it is home to the 8th generation of the Chunnamal family, the Pershads.
