Book Talk in Dwarka is a book lover’s attempt at creating a space where like-minded people can gather to discuss ideas, read, borrow paperbacks, sip coffee and eat a whole lot of cake. This library-meets-cafe has been around since October last year but has now become a place that attracts a motley bunch almost every other weekend for events.

What Makes It Awesome
Vinita has been an academician for decades and her love for books combined with her penchant for the English language, had her toying with the idea of having a physical space to indulge her love interests. When she set her eyes on the plot, she envisioned an academy but the idea developed and a book cafe came into being.
A few months later, she added tonnes of book shelves, a guitar, plants and a dose of character. She got a coffee machine and tied up with bakers for cupcakes, brownies and desserts and before we knew... bookworms got whiff of it. As word went out, the space became a local gem. They started hosting book meets, karaoke sessions and even movie nights. Their first and third Sundays are reserved for open mic events while the other two dedicated to book clubs. In short, Book Talk's buzzing and how.
What Could Be Better
Some savoury bites on the menu will be good but we hear these are on Vinita’s mind already.
Pro-Tip
The library membership is INR 900 per month and it can be shared by a family or a group of friends. This makes Book Talk super affordable. The good folks let you borrow 4–5 books a month, we hear.
