What Makes It Awesome
A graduation project that turned into a full-fledged fashion label, Zariya’s style is focused on combining western silhouettes with Indian fabrics and embellishments. The founder, Supriya Jain works hand-in-hand with Kala Raksha- an NGO that’s dedicated to preserving traditional Indian crafts and it is their artisans who take care of all the embroidery in this collection. The fabrics are sourced from local villages like Ajrakhpur and Khamir and everything that you’ll come across is completely handwoven and hand crafted. We love that they don't believe in wasting either. Any leftover fabric is used for applique work or for finishings.
You can order from their insta store (they ship worldwide) and even check out their collection in person at Anantam in South Ex 2.
What Could Be Better
We feel that for some, the collection may get a tad pricey. The range begins at INR 3,000. We also noticed a few bags and pretty pouches in their collection, but they’re fairly limited in number. But, we’ve been told that they’re going to expand that soon.
Pro-Tip
For those who prefer things their way, they’re open to customisation requests as well.
