More beer, now here! Europe celebrates its biggest beer festival in the month of September - the Oktoberfest. This 200 year old festival is held in Munich, Bavaria {Germany}, every year. The Oktoberfest is a 16 day festival that runs from the end of September into the first week of October. It is celebrated in other parts of the world over a span of 10 days. The beer served at the festival must always meet certain criteria: {a.} It should have been brewed within the city limits of Munich, and {b.} Should meet the minimum alcohol requirements {6%}. Traditional delicacies like meatloaf and pork sausages are essential accompaniments to the beer.
It is undoubtedly the largest Volksfest {People's Fair} in the World, with approximately 6.5 million visitors each year, and growing!
