Being Nice Is Easy: Buy These Crochet Toys & Half Get Gifted To Underprivileged Kids

What Is It?

Ketto has recently added another month-long campaign called Toys 4 Joy to let people actively participate in the process of social change. This one brings together The Color Caravan and Little Local to sell beautiful little crochet toys that have been knitted by women artisans from Naggar Village in Himachal.

The good bit about this online purchase is that half the toys come to you and the other half get shipped off to the less fortunate children who are associated with Delhi-based NGO called Protsahan India Foundation.

Who Is It For?

For everyone, honestly. We are especially looking at those kind souls whose laziness comes in the way of compassion.

The benefit here is also two-fold: While you get a cute crochet dinosaur, owl and hedgehog that’ll come in handy when your niece, nephew or nice neighbour’s child comes over unannounced, it’ll also take the effort of sending the same to another child you’ll never know or meet {you know you’re probably not going to travel the distance if it were to you}.

Why Should I Go For It?

For starters, the campaign makes it so easy to make a child’s day. We know how many times you wished you could’ve helped but gotten sidetracked because there’s always something pressing that needs immediate attention {like that untimely client call}.

Then, you’re not just making the NGO kids happy but also supporting Himachali women who dedicated a whole month to knitting these cute gifts.

Anything Else?

You have to buy these handmade toys in pairs so the sorting process seamless. A pair costs INR 1,145 and you can check out the prices for more here.

Also, if you decide to ship all the toys to the NGO, the total cost comes down {bulk shipping yay!}.
