If rail travel is on your mind, we’ve got news for you. IRCTC just updated their rules for booking tickets online.  From now on, you’ve got two months of time to book your tickets in advance. Hanging with a large crowd? You can book up to 12 tickets from one ID in a month, if you are an Aadhar verified user that is. {Large families on your way to attend a destination wedding, that one is awesome news for you}. Lazy, last-minute booking-makers, time to be on your toes. You can book your tatkal tickets a day before the day of travel {and do so quickly! The standard time to fill up passenger details now is 25 seconds} Take note of the timings. Between 8am to 10am, one can book for two people. At 10am, booking for AC coaches begin. General coach hoggers, 11 am onwards, it’s your time to shine.

Also, we can all agree in unison that our trains don’t have the best track record when it comes to punctuality. Well, they’ve stepped up now. But, if your train hasn’t departed within three hours of the scheduled time, you can claim a refund. On a rare occasion that the train has been diverted {and you’re not okay with that}, then too, you can ask for your money back. All these rules have been updated to make online reservations safer and more efficient.
