TripAdvisor Users Vote for the World’s Best Hotel and it’s in India!

In the 14th edition of TripAdvisaor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards, Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace managed a five out of five rating and is now being called the ‘Best Hotel in the World’!

This is an Indian palace that has been built over 15, years between 1928 and 1943, and it absolutely one of the most princely hotels of India {and now, the world, obviously}. The residence of the Jodhpur royal family, it has both western and eastern influences, and was designed by renowned Edwardian architect, Henry Lanchester. What we love most is that you can take any of their vintage cars for a spin.

Museum mania

A modern heritage hotel, {the oxymoron rings true}, we love it all the more for its vintage car collection. Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum usually hosts a bunch of classic cars that were owned and driven by royalty. Get your fill of vintage Rolls-Royce’s, Jaguars, Mercedes’, Hummers, and may others that are in mint condition.

In other news, the top ten winners are:

Shinta Mani Resort, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Bellevue Syrene, Sorrento, Italy
