What Is It?

Lillette Dubey is directing a play, Salaam, Noni Appa that’s based on Twinkle Khanna’s latest book titled The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad. Being performed at Sirifort on Oct 29, it promises an evening of slice of life drama that’ll see Noni Appa on a quest to find love at an old age.

Who Is It For?

Follow Twinkle’s antics and adventures on Twitter? Had a blast watching her in her politically incorrect self on Koffee With Karan? Or are just amused by her jibes and unabashed take on things? You should all definitely go to see her literary work come to life through the play.

Both intense and easy-going feminists and suckers for bittersweet theatrical narrations should also be booking their tickets. Yes, Siri Fort is big but you know how these things sell out like hot cakes.

Why Should I Go For It?

The play combines an interesting Twinkle take on feminism and Lillette Dubey’s directorial brilliance and we don’t know about you, but we’re intrigued to see what it brings. We’re also bleeding hearts for a “finding love at an old age” angle so it all ties in perfectly.

There are obviously more reasons like a compelling story line and friends raving about the book. And, most importantly, we’d also like this as an alternative to our typical weekend scenes.
