Cab hailing app Uber is looking at enabling private car owners in Delhi to carpool through its platform; in order to meet heavy demand once the odd-even formula is implemented. This ride sharing initiative will be rolled out to commercial as well as {27 lakh!} private vehicles in Delhi within the next few days.

ubershots1The company has said that it will put checks in place to ensure the safety of both the driver and passengers. You can expect uberGo cars to be the first to get into the pool car system.

If you drive your own car, you can register here and select the 'share ride' option to avail the facility. You can choose the number of passengers to travel with and your costs will be cut by 30%.

The Delhi government will implement its much debated odd-even car scheme from January 1, 2016, allowing vehicles with license plates ending with odd and even numbers to ply on alternate days.
