Indulge In Barefoot Luxury At Six Senses, Yao Noi

Ten-Second Takeaway
If you’re looking to commemorate a special occasion or if you want to relax post a hectic wedding or weekend in Thailand- Yao Noi is definitely the place for you.
Pretty As A Picture
For a lot of us, Thailand is synonymous with countless pina coladas, full moon raves, bachelor parties and shopping till you can’t walk anymore. However, the popular holiday destination has a few secluded, hidden gems that provide R&R, like the Six Senses at Yao Noi. I was appointed the gorgeous hideaway villa number 19 that offered verdant views of the lush forest equipped with my own private pool and a butler who would assist me with anything I needed.
I went to Mai Thai beach for some some fresh pomelo salad, drank one too many tender coconuts and took a long walk. I jumped in for a quick swim and came out a few minutes post sunset, when the water was glistening and it was the perfect opportunity to take a few photographs. Dinner that night was at the modern European restaurant called the The Dining Room that focuses on organic food in tranquil surroundings.
Their other restaurant, The Living Room is a treat for the healthy eater {think green smoothies, almond milk lattes, egg white and salmon omelets and avocado toast}.
Of Meditation, Aerial Yoga And Spa Day
While at Six Senses, take an aerial yoga class in the new elevated yoga platform that will leave you feeling all kinds of sore. The one-hour class was followed by an introduction to guided meditation, and I walked away feeling a lot calmer. With no rush to go there, do this, spend an evening at The Hilltop Reserve {Six Senses’ newest villa} – the pomelo salad, chicken satay and sweet potato chips are divine. The views are absolutely breathtaking; I definitely recommend that you book a meal here when you arrive at Yao Noi. The resort also organises movie screenings for guests.
I opted for a deep tissue massage on my last day to get rid of all the knots and aches and pains from my gym session in the morning. I waited post my massage for the anti-ageing facial that incorporated the goodness ‘Thai silk cocoons’ and although the treatment lasted under an hour – it left me with baby soft skin.
Remember to check out the happy chicken farm – an initiative to breed free range chickens and encourage sustainability.
#LBBTip: If you’re travelling with your SO, save up to splurge on the night at the Hilltop reserve where you are dining under the stars with a butler and chef at your disposal. You fall asleep and wake up to the spectacular views of the Pha Nga Bay—the sunrise here is absolutely magical.
