Shortcut

Take in the best of the beaches, stay in cool cottages and generally have a marvellous time in Goa without depleting your savings at Montego Bay Village Goa.

Just Beachy

When in Goa, there’s no real point staying away from the beach, which is the reason we love Montego Bay so much. Smack on the North Goa Morjim beach, it’s even got a coconut grove in it, giving you ample choice even if you aren’t a big fan of sand. There’s five types of accommodation, each vastly different from the other. Families who like to up the luxe factor a bit should pick the Casa-de-Mudanca; a large bungalow with five air-conditioned rooms, it’s got all the makings of a fancy hotel, including Wi-Fi. Log cabins {we’re looking straight at you, romantic couples} are rustic and in the grove, allowing you to take in the surrounding natural beauty, though you can also upsize them to the ones with AC if you want.

Camp Style

Along similar lines are the beach tents here, and we’ve grown very partial to these beauties for multiple reasons. Not least of them being their proximity to the shores! It’s also a fantastic experience to live in a tent camp-style, minus the fear of a crab crawling into your ear in your sleep! Feeling like splurging? They’ve even got a beach villa that overlooks the beach, which is perfect for a group of four.

In-House

We know you’re there for the sun and sand, but should you want to do anything different, perhaps the pool will tempt you. It looks over the sea, which is great to just lounge in and enjoy the beauty of the sea, only without the multiple people that accompany that view at other beaches! Up for some yoga? The resort is happy to organise a session, though it’s really the karaoke you should try out. More importantly, egg everyone on and get out your smart phone, film the disastrous performances and Instagram that to your heart’s content! Also, while multi-cuisine food is on offer, be good to yourself—stick to seafood and Goan fare. Thank us for that tip later!

#LBBTip

If you’re keen, do ask them to organise a dolphin-sighting trip. It’s worth the thrilling ride, even if you {unfortunately} aren’t able to spot one.
