The department of Art, Culture & Languages is hosting a really fun and interesting Urdu Heritage Festival. This 6-day event will have talented artists like Salman Ali (winner of S10 Indian Idol), Ghulam Sabir, Ghulam Qadir Niyazi, Ali Husain, Gayatri and more perform the best of dastangoi (oral storytelling), ghazals, and qawwalis.
To celebrate this enigmatic language, several stalls offering Urdu merchandise, literature, and more will be set up. Urdu Academy's collected scholarly works and books will also be sold at the event.
