A co-working, a salon and one of the most hipster spaces, Vikings Salon is unlike any salon we’ve come across. Plus, their edgy haircuts and colours could easily be on those trending hairstyle Pinterest boards.
The main man behind the salon – Vikram tells us that the vibe of the space would have to be their USP and we couldn’t agree more. From the men’s section with chairs you’d find at an 80s barber’s shop, to the mani-pedi area with beautiful aztec print sofas to even their music (Harlem, Jazz and RnB), everything at this salon is carefully curated.
Vikings looks a lot like an art exhibition with the refurbished Rajdoot GTS motor-bike, the graffiti on windows and the stunning hand-painted gramophone near the spa room. Yep, this salon has got a spa room, a makeup area, men and women’s grooming sections and a small but quaint co-working area near the entrance.
The co-working set-up is modest but quaint, and while there are definitely a couple of demarcated spots at Vikings, you can pretty much work anywhere in the salon.
Truth be told, we spent way too much time clicking pictures of the place and making mental notes for our home decor plans.
If you’re someone who reserves the weekend for salon time because weekdays equals just work, you should definitely book an appointment at Vikings. You can get a pedicure or wait out your hair colour here while working on presentations on your laptop.
Vikings has a world of services to offer. You can sip on coffee and pamper yourself with a manicure/pedicure (starting at INR 400), opt for a facial (INR 2,000) or even take a spa break to ease up your work stress. Considering how fancy the place looks, we were expecting that the services would cost the earth but were pleasantly surprised to know that a haircut here costs a reasonable INR 800 and INR 500 for women and men respectively.
Also, if you want to experiment with crazy colours like all-greys and purples or with sharp cuts, Vikings is just the place. This salon also retails products like evening clutches, bags, chokers and pendants from Mumbai-based brands such as Fluke (range between INR 600-20,000). Shopping, working and grooming, Vikings offers so much, yet manages to deliver on all fronts.
