Bath soaks and yummy lip balms are our weakness and when we hear that they are all made at home, with good-for-you ingredients, there’s no stopping us from splurging on them. The latest brand to be on our handmade-obsessed radar is Wabi Sabi.

Sweet Summer Scents, Ahoy!

Almost a God-send for sensitive skin, these bath and body products are for those who are too lazy to moisturise. All of us with really dry skin can safely vouch for Wabi Sabi products’ ability to leave us with nourished-feeling skin after a shower. The Cinnamon-Coffee is our favourite, for it wakes us up and the coconut oil and Vitamin E work their charm on the skin. The Day Rose also found a willing taker in a colleague, who said that she loved the subtle aroma of rose and the after-effects of the oil. If you’d like a different variant, go for Vanilla Moon.

We also have a soft corner for their all-organic lip balms. Call us typical, but Summer Rose Salve, again was the winner here. It has a super-buttery texture, but gets quickly absorbed into the skin instead of sitting on it like the usual petroleum-jelly-filled variants we’ve often picked up from the drug store.

It’s not difficult to see why Wabi Sabi’s salves and scrubs are so effective and feel-good. Apart from being all paraben-free, they are lovingly made in someone’s house, and with strong understanding of Japanese techniques. The whole focus of the makers is harnessing age-old beauty secrets from Japan, and bottling them up for us busy folks.

So, We're Saying...

Make a day of pampering yourself with their indulgent bath salts, and soak your feet after a long day {Mint Dreams FTW!}. Or, use the Sunday to watch your fave sitcom with the Avocado Smoothie to give those tresses some much-needed TLC… You know you deserve it.
