There’s no denying that oats are awesome for you! Whether you’re watching your calorie count or you’re just trying to be healthy, oats a great add-on to your breakfasts, as well as meals around the clock. Make everything healthy by adding oats to it, and give the health side of your conscience some peace.But now there’s something better  out there— whole oats! Thandai Oats

Yes this is a thing! Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna was in town recently and showed us this summer special thandai mix, by adding overnight soaked whole oats. This is exactly how we would love to start our week. Spend some time on Sunday night for this recipe, and wake up to a bright layered jar of nuts, thandai and overnight soaked oats.IngredientsThandai  1/2 cup Quaker Whole Oats 100 gms Almond  100 gms Hazelnut 100 gms Cashews100 gms Melon seedsOrganic Rose Saffron Green Cardamom 250 gms Khoya 1 bel fruit 100 gms spinach (blended)Jaggery PowderInstructions- Add strained Thandai milk to ½ cup Quaker Whole oats and leave it overnight.- Dry roast the nuts and boil milk with nuts. Strain the nut mix- Layer 1: Mash Khoya with nut mix, add powdered sugar according to taste and set it in the jar.- Layer 2: Add the overnight thandai oat mix on top of layer 1.- Layer 3: Make a puree of bel pulp with spinach and jaggery and layer it on top as layer 3.Top it up with crystal sugar, sesame seeds and nuts. Voila! You have your happy jar ready right there.

Curd Oats With Parmesan Crisp

This one’s a rewarding recipe, also by master chef Vikas Khanna himself. He has a twist on our usual curd rice with a touch of whole oats and has turned the classic favourite curd rice into a a healthy morning fix.Ingredients1 cup Quaker Whole Oats Water Flavoured Stock  Star Anise  Green Cardamom  Dried Rose Petals 400 gms x 2 Greek Yogurt Oil Rai Curry Patta Whole Red Chillies 250g Plums 250g Cherries Sugar Baby vegetables Amchur Salt 200 gms Grated ParmesanInstructions- Boil water and add flavoured stock, star anise, green cardamom and dried rose petals. Strain the mix and add 100 gms of Quaker Whole oats, and leave it overnight.- Wake up to a ready mix of overnight oats and whisk it with yogurt. Transfer the mix to a 3” ring mould.- Tadka preparation: Sautee with rai, curry patta and red chillies. Pour the tadka over curd oats in the ring.- Fruit Cuolis: Boil plums and cherries with sugar until soft and then mash and strain it. Place it in a pan once done.- Garnish: Fry baby vegetables in a pan and season it with salt, amchur and red chilli powder. Empty the pan and pour 200 gms grated Parmesan, to get a parmesan crisp that goes on top of the oat ring.- Remove the ring and add the garnish!

Peaches and Cream Overnight Oats

Baker par excellence and popular food influencer, Deeba Rajpal’s passion for baking has inspired us to add this deliciousness to our breakfast spread.Ingredients3/4 cup Quaker Whole Oats 1/2 cup Milk 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder 3 tbsp Brown Sugar 1/4 cup Chopped Walnuts 200g Greek Yogurt 2 tbsp Honey 2 tbsp Chia/Basil (Sabja) Seeds 2 finely chopped Ripe Peaches Juice of 1/4 Lime Pinch of Saffron 1 tsp Ghee 2 tbsp SugarInstructions- Add ½ cup Quaker Whole Oats and ½ cup of milk to a bowl and leave it overnight.- Layer 1: Add cinnamon powder, 1 tbsp brown sugar and chopped walnuts to the overnight oats mixture and mix. Leave it to soak for about an hour.- Layer 2: Whisk Greek yogurt honey and chia seeds in a a bowl.- Layer 3: Stir chopped peaches with lime juice, brown sugar and saffron.  Let it cool.Add the layers to the oats mixture one by one in a jar. Garnish it with semi roasted oats in sugar for an extra sweet touch!

Black Forest Overnight Oats

This gem of the pastry world has been modified with a healthy twist by the one of the best food bloggers in the block, Deeba Rajpal. If you’re someone who loves to start their day with cake, this easy-to-make recipe will make your life so much better.IngredientsChocolate oats1 ¼ cup Quaker Whole Oats3/4 cup tepid Milk2 tbsp Cocoa Powder3 tsp Brown Sugar3/4 cup pitted Fresh Cherries1tbsp balsamic Vinegar1/2 cup Greek Yogurt1tbsp Honey1 tbsp Chia Seeds2tbsp whole oats1tsp ghee2tbsp sugarFresh cherriesMint leavesInstructions- Add cocoa and 2 tbsp of brown sugar, milk and oats into a bowl. Stir and leave it overnight.- Layer 1: Simmer cherries, vinegar, brown sugar and water until cherries soften.-Remove cherries and continue simmering until syrup is thick-Pour syrup over the cherries and leave it to chill.- Layer 3: Whisk honey, Greek yogurt and chia seeds for about 15 minutes.Layer the overnights oats mixture one by one, and add a surprise topping of crispy oats sauteed in ghee and sugar.
