Eating with Joe’s

Reading the menu, we could be forgiven for eating with our eyes first and stomachs second; the food here is heavy, cheesy and packed with calories. Two dishes and an appetiser were more than enough to send us reeling into a food coma, slouched in our chairs. Because of the limited seating space though, this is a good option for home-delivery or takeaway.

Just one more bite

The melt-in-your-mouth pulled pork burger is a clear winner, and the lamb burger isn’t too far behind. The classic ham and cheese sandwich, looking like something you’d make at home at 2am, was surprisingly delicious, and very filling. The Lamb Chilli Fries suffered the curse of all delivery fries and arrived soggy, but we’re willing to forgive that because we barely had space for it anyway.

If you aren’t a heavy eater, the large portions at Joe’s make ordering more than one dish per person unnecessary. We suggest you pace yourself; the hearty sandwich will fill you up even before you reach for the fries {trust us, we’ve been there}.
