Rishikesh attracts a huge number of tourists every year to explore the white waters of the Ganga, to camp on the banks and live on the bare minimum for a couple of days. The whole experience is thrilling, for sure, but also extremely tiresome. This time though, after a tiring day of camping, I came across this beautiful cafe that offers the most splendid view of the river and the best food out there. Just a couple of kilometres away from the Lakshman Jhula, the cafe is tucked within the shopping streets of the city.
We ordered for an Israeli breakfast {a portion of perfectly whisked scrambled eggs, pita bread with flavourful herbs, hummus, and salad}, Spinach and Tomato Omelette, and a glass of freshly extracted orange juice, and literally, everything was on point. Apart from the view and the food, another talking point would be the ambience - very rustic with graffiti on their walls, tiny jute mudas {jute stools}, and floor cushions. What's best is you'll be chilling with stray puppies that are allowed in the cafe - if you're not a pet person, not the place for you.
