Wingreens Farms is a brand whose sole objective is to provide a healthy (and unusual) combination of snacks, dips and more while making sure the agricultural sector is benefitted from it as well. All their products are made by the farmers and landless women of Mewat, Haryana. While stocking up on our noodles and cereal at The Gourmet Store in Hauz Khas Market, one of the employees offered us a sampling tray of various dips with chips. Always ready to eat, we scooped a big dollop of rosemary hummus and instantly knew we had found a winning snack. The name behind the yumminess? Wingreens Farms. On exploring further, we discovered delicious dips and sauces; basil, parsley and rocket pestos, salsa, hummus (with rosemary), as well as a variety of herb and garlic butter. The recipes are well-balanced, vibrant, and consistent, and can be paired with pita bread, chips (which they make as well!), toast and nachos. They sell potted herbs and salad leaves like oregano, thyme, basil, lemongrass, peppermint, mint, lettuce, parsley, celery, baby spinach, Lolla Rossa and arugula. Hello, summer light summer salads! Wingreens also cultivates micro-greens and wheatgrass such as mustard, radish, watercress, beetroot, amaranth and chives. There’s also tea and dried herbs. Apart from selling divine sauces and dips, they also retail a bunch of green teas - Rose Petal, Hibiscus, Chamomile, Peppermint, Lemongrass and Basil Leaves. They also have some on-the-go Chip and Dip like Jalapeno Pita Chips with Sweet Chilli Garlic Dip, Parmesan and Herbs Pita Chips with Cheesy Jalapeno Dip and more - just writing about these is making us hungry. Savoury snacks and refreshing teas - both are covered. They've recently launched Durum Wheat Pastas that come with different kinds of sauce and mayo that would go best with it. It doesn't end there though, they have something for our sweet cravings too - sugar-free Granola and Granola Bars. We've already ordered our share of Apple Cinnamon Granola. It's time to make our (inevitable) snacking habit guilt-free and full of healthy stuff.
