VIP sweets is no strange name for people living in Kolkata. It's one of the oldest and best sweets shop for authentic Bengali sweets and people from Delhi never forget to pack some sweets from VIP sweets while coming back from Kolkata.
Well, the good news is that VIP sweets have opened its first outlet in Gurgaon and it's a must visit for all sweet lovers.
We tried a lot of sweets from the outlet and everything was awesome.
They have different types of Sandesh like :
Gur Sandesh
Jal Bhara Sandesh
Butterscotch Sandesh
Chocolate Sandesh
Shor Bhaja or Sar Bhaja is a deep-fried sweet dish purely made of milk cream it was again awesome.
Kheer Kadam An exotic Bengali sweet, made of mini rasgullas, grated khoya and powdered sugar. It is also known as Raskadam and has two layers of dessert heaven.
There were many variants of Roshogulla and some of them were made of Gur.
Then came Chom Chom , they again had Nolen gur Chom Chom, Malai Chom Chom and few others.
Rasmalai was again the best I had in Delhi, and again they had a Nolen gur variant of rasmali too.
They also had gujia, but that is only available till Holi.
They also serve mishti Dohi, this light and sweet blend of milk, yoghurt and coarse brown sugar, left to ferment overnight and it tastes Heavenly.
You must not miss this shop if you are a Bengali sweet lover.
