Youth Eco Summit 2024

What’s Happening

For those of you who are looking for sustainable ways to contribute in making a positive impact on our planet’s environment, we have just the right thing in store for you. Enter: The Youth Eco Summit 2024, an initiative by the Bajaj Foundation, is all set to create awareness and cultivate a generation of environmentally-conscious individuals. This summit revolves around four key principles: Educate, Engage, Innovate, and Felicitate.

In the age of rapid digital expansion,  we are constantly moving to fresher, newer technology that makes our lives more convenient. But in the race for making our lives and gadgets 'smarter' we're discarding at a higher rate and creating more waste. Thus, The Youth Eco Summit 2024 aims to mainly focus on e-waste and how to navigate its challenges for a better future. As the use of electronic gadgets increases, India's digital economy is predicted to skyrocket six times by 2030. The electronic gadgets, when they're no longer useful, can become a real threat to the environment and if not handled correctly, it could deteriorate the environment and people's health. The summit addresses the pressing need for managing and regulating e-waste. From panel discussions, essay and slogan writing competitions and an engaging workshop on creating art from scraps, it's a chance for you to share your thoughts on how we all can live in a way that's good for the planet.

Distinguished guest speakers, including Dr. Suneel Pandey, Director of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Darrin Farrant, Director of United Nations Information Centre, Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) and Sonu Sood, a famous Bollywood actor, will highlight the current state of e-waste and guide participants on how they can contribute to its management and reduction. Join the conversation, be part of the change, and together, let's sow the seeds for a sustainable tomorrow.
