Very few times it happens that your food time converts into an experience which you'll remember for a long time. Zarra Si Biryani is one of those places, where you find everything just perfect, be it the food, ambiance of the place, warm staff behavior, quick service, decor of the place and on top delicious food. It is located in Baani Square, which is now a food street for many joints. They serve Mughlai Cuisine and they know how to do that. Best part food is worth every penny be it in terms of quality or quantity
I went for -
Non-Veg Platter
Mutton Nihari
Butter Chicken
Keema Biryani
Chicken Biryani
Dal Bukhara
Gajar ka halwa
Everything was greatly prepared by the Chef but my favorite has to be the Mutton Nihari, Dal Bukhara, Keema Biryani and Gajar ka halwa.
Mutton Nihari was very neatly prepared dsh maintaining the taste of it along with soft and juicy Mutton pieces. Very few can crack that balance and they have done it beautifully. Slowly cooked Mutton pieces and a myraid of spices, but not in flour based stew, they have prep the stew in there own way and it does give you that overall drooling taste.
Dal Bukhara is something which is not easy to make and after one has tried the dish from ITC Maurya, it is almost impossible to match that taste. But Zarra Si Biryani is the only one I can think of matching that level of taste or has come very near to it. Hats off to the Chef for creating this wonderful taste in Gurgaon
Keema Biryani was my favorite. I like the overall preparation of it, the flavors coming out with every bite, Keema pieces and not at all too spicy, unlike other places. One can easily make out that they have prepared it great passion.
Gajar ka halwa with very subtle in the level of sweetness just the way I like and a perfect note to end your food.
Though I am not a huge fan of Butter Chicken because I never had an awesome experience from Gurgaon, but if I ever want this dish, I'll definitely go for this place. Must try for Butter Chicken lovers.
Overall, a very warm and cozy experience and would definitely recommend this place for food lovers.
