Nagphani, popularly known as the Duke’s Nose, after Duke Wellington, is a cliff near Lonavala.
99 Hikers has organised a rappeling and rock climbing event on December 8.
The trek involves a lot of walking and climbing up and down the slopes. So don’t forget to carry a bottle of water! Once you reach the top of the cliff, experience the 200-feet valley crossing from the Duke’s to the Duchess’ nose. The activity can be quite challenging because of the chilly winds, foggy ambience and the deep, deep valley below. The 350-feet rappelling from the Duke’s nose is a must-try. Rappelling is the controlled descent down a rock face using a rope, with waterfalls cascading on both sides.
