    In the times of social distancing we’re sure the one thing you’re truly grateful for, is the time you get to spend with your kids and for some of you, with your nieces and nephews! Now, we know how much fun that can be and we’re here to add to it, by sharing with you a list of some really great movies you can watch with the little ones! We guarantee this will keep your spirits up and add a lot of excitement and entertainment to your days at home! If there are no little ones at home, we're pretty sure this list with give you a hit of entertainment too! 

    Bridge To Terabithia

    We had to start the list with this exciting, yet tragic movie that will transform you to a different world altogether. From great imagination, to friendship and even snippets of bullying, this film is a great watch with kids above the age of 8. It’s also available on Netflix!

    Little Mermaid

    I’m sure we’ve all grown up listening to the tales of Ariel and the prince she fell in love with! This film is ideal if you want to give your kids a fun movie experience, as well as transform yourselves back to the good ol’ days! This movie with a twist, can be watched by kids of all ages and is also available on Netflix! Sure we're all for girl power, and Ariel not needing a prince, but guys, cut Disney some slack and enjoy Sebastian! 

    The Parent Trap

    This rom-com is so cute and sweet, that we couldn’t help but add it to our list! The film is the perfect combination of mischief, fun, summer camps and twin-trouble! If you’re not up for something animated, but want it to be kid friendly, this is an ideal option. Of course it doesn't seem as polished as films are now, but hey, it is fun!

    Mirror Mirror

    If you loved Snow White like we did, you’ll definitely enjoy this tale with a modern twist. It’s funny yet classic and what makes it unmissable is Julia Roberts playing the role of the evil step-mom. Imagine that! This is also available on Netflix and kids above the age of 8 are more likely to enjoy it.

    Inside Out

    What can we say about Inside Out, that hasn’t already been said. It’s an entertaining and emotional (quite literally) film that you & your kids are sure to love. Not only does it delve into the mind of a 11 year old, it also breaks down complex emotions in the most sweet, colourful and easy to understand way! You can watch this on Youtube at just INR 100 or on a bunch of free websites online!

    Mary Poppins

    This all time classic was loved and will continue to be loved for generations and we’re sure you don’t want your kids missing out on it! It has everything from great music, to a wonderful story to keep you and your young ones thoroughly entertained. The 1964 version of the movie is available on JioCinema and on Hotstar. The new version starring Emily Blunt as the sassy nanny is also rather fun, so maybe watch Mary Poppins Returns to see the older Jane and Michael Banks tackle adulting!

    E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

    If your kid loves fiction, there is literally no better film than this! A story about an alien, it will leave your child looking up at the stars wishing for wonderful things to happen! It’s ideal for kids above the age of 8 and can be rented on Youtube for just INR 120. This one is also for all the 80s and 90s kids who are probably easily in their late 20s and 30s now!

    Matilda

    This film about a little girl using telekinetic powers to settle scores with those mean to her, will leave you and your little ones, in fits of laughter. Originally a story by Roald Dahl, it’s sure to keep you fully entertained. Check it out on Netflix.

    Harry Potter

    One is never too old for Harry Potter, and there’s never a wrong time to binge watch the Harry Potter movies. If your children haven’t yet been introduced to the magical world, created by JK Rowling, there is no better time than now! Post this, we’re sure there will be many, awaiting a letter from Hogwarts!     Charlie And The Chocolate Factory

    All you need is chocolate! Once you're done eating, go watch chocolate! This film is everything and more than one imagines about a world of chocolate.
