The mother of all Bangalore Flea Markets is back with its Season Finale edition. Head down to the ITPB Cricket Ground, Whitefield this Sunday for a day packed with art, craft, design, shopping, food and live music. This edition will have over 250 pop-up stalls and will feature performances by some of the country’s finest talents such as Late in the A.M., Zarah Ross, F16s and the Tarantismo Dance Co. Still not convinced? Here are eight reasons ITBP is the place to be this Sunday.

Hang Out With Books

This edition will unveil the ‘Happy Bookers’ initiative which is bound to be exciting all those who are nuts about books. Spread the literary love with fellow enthusiasts by donating old books that may find a loving home on someone else’s bookstand. Or engage in a literary give and take by exchanging a book for a book. If you aren’t willing to part with any of your precious tomes, just come on over for a good old-fashioned reading session and discover new books to add to your collection. Any which way, this is lit.

Eat To Your Heart's Content

No Sunday Soul Sante is complete without a spectacular line-up of food stalls. At this edition, expect Pop Hop to dish out ice cream popsicles such as blueberry cheesecake and Oreo covered ones with additional fun toppings, Inbento, which specialises in Japanese food, will be doing bento boxes, sushi and donburi among others. Also look out for Kashmiri cafe Orzuv, which will serve traditional Kashmiri breads such as the Lavasa and other delicacies, and Just Khao Suey that will serve up this Burmese deliciousness.

Shop Till You Drop

Setting the standard for flea markets in Bangalore, the Sunday Soul Sante never disappoints with its collection of local as well as brands from other cities. And this time around, they’ve upped the ante with over 250 stalls. So let your inner shopaholic loose and score the best deals on everything from graphic tees to garden accessories.

To upgrade the whole experience, there will be a bunch of cool new stalls such as Closet Code India which sells a fun and functional range of men’s accessories like neck ties, bow-ties, and pocket squares, and Eastern Winds which, in very fairy-godmother-like fashion, transforms wood, pumpkin, bamboo, bell-metal and other locally-sourced raw materials into a range of handmade products like lamp shades. Then there’s also Mud Born, which makes clay bottles, Boho Studio which does fantastic vintage and industrial furniture and lighting, and Untold Homes with its mason jar lights and home decor.

Watch Local Talent

What’s a flea market without some great music? With an exciting line-up of musicians and bands such Late in the A.M., Zarah Ross and F16s, you’re in for a real treat. What’s more, a troupe from the Tarantismo Creative Dance Company will also perform and break it down with some great choreographed routines.

Watch A Fashion Show

Apart from upgrading your entire wardrobe with all you managed to loot from the fashion stalls, get some major fashion inspo from fashion guru Prasad Bidapa, who will be putting up a snazzy fashion show at the venue.

Bring The Whole Squad

With great stalls, great music and great food this edition of the Sunday Soul Sante has something for everyone. So come on over and kick back with the crew. Or make this a family outing and bring everyone along, including your pets. Cancel your babysitter’s appointment as this edition will have a Kid’s Zone, to keep your munchkins occupied with a bunch of activities. This is a great opportunity to spend some good ol’ quality time with the fam.

Give Back To The Community

This is your chance to put all the loose wires and conked speakers to good use. The Waste To Light initiative will collect and recycle your electronic waste for free. Moreover the money they earn from processing this waste will be used to provide solar-powered home lighting to villages in Arunachal Pradesh, by this non-profit initiative called Batti. So, round up all those non-functional headphones and redundant MP3 players before heading down to the santhe. One man’s trash could lead to another one’s lighting, no?

Get Your Big Break

As Sunday Soul Sante has always been a forum that promotes and encourages art and talent, this time they will hold a contest that gives new upcoming bands a platform to perform live and show us what they’ve got. Time get the band together for rehearsals, this could be your big break. Or just sit back and discover the up and coming music scene of Bangalore city.
