Miss those days of elegant langa-davanis and traditional sarees? Latha Puttanna, Bangalore’s leading designer, brings you an exhibition of all this and more. Over 25 years, she has recreated fashion using Indian motifs and textiles. Inspired by fashion of the bygone eras, Latha has crafted 4 collections – each unique and nostalgic in its own way. The first is a collection of hand-woven silk sarees made unusual because of its traditional motifs and pastel color palette. These sarees have been paired with detailed organza blouses and in a first, ethnic jewellery from the house of Amrapali. Amrapali Jewelers bring in authentic Jaipur designs, adding charm to beauty. The exhibition will also feature exclusive crepe silks, embellished with pure gold geri, just like the ones used in traditional Kanjeevaram and bridal sarees. For those who want to relive traditional fashion, Latha brings you hand-embroidered langa-davnis in its true form and grandeur. You could also take your pick from cocktail sarees that boast delicate embroidery and embellishments! Don’t miss this exclusive exhibition, slated to be held on 7th October 2017 from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm at ITC Gardenia, Bangalore. Hope to see you there!
