"ToYo Brotherhood" program is an initiative of putting more of an emphasis on the cultivation of a dynamic ensemble of artists with various skill sets to co-produce thrilling projects and events utilizing our group, 'Theatre On Your Own' as their home.
Anyone who chanced upon watching a play or movie would have noticed Actors/Directors hogging the limelight and Technicians, who often times put in long hours go into obscurity. Our lead techni-cian, Ayan, who makes our sets shine bright and dim when needed, out of his many skills, will show you how he creates lamp shades out of glass bottles. And how this has helped him decorate his own home, along with our sets. This is not a regular DiY workshop but more of an experience sharing session.
Ayan Biswas is a 28 year old software engineer by profession, and an artist at heart. A musician who can play a range of instruments. One of his most definitive skills is to create household decorative items by recycling objects us mortals would choose to throw away, like empty bottles, cardboard boxes, etc. He has decorated his own living space beautifully with lamp shades created by himself. In this session, he would show you how to cut an empty glass bottle, and turn it into an artsy lamp shade. The attendees would also make their own lamps, while learning. But behold, this is not a regular DiY session, its more about sharing an experience. Ayan is also an active member of the I Support Foundation, which works closely with the Autism and Underprivileged Children education. He is also the Technical Director of the theatre group, ‘Theatre On Your Own’. The ToYo-Brotherhood segment starts with Ayan not only because he has given a lot to ToYo-Chuski Natak Ki, but also because he has a lot more skills in his kitty which can inspire others .
