She and her band have played at several clubs and festivals around Sweden and Ylva is active in several bands in different genres like The Funky Flakes and Ylva Myrman quintet (folk music / jazz). BECKA & THE FUNKY FLAKES (SWEDEN).A feminist funk band from Gothenburg, Sweden that started in the fall of 2014, lead by singer/songwriter RebeckaLindstedt. The band consists of nine professional musicians and plays music written and performed by women mixed with Rebecka ́s own compositions. The Funky Flakes plays music by artists like Betty Davis, Chaka Khan, Candy Dulfer, Klymaxx and Brides of Funkenstein. “LEDGE13” Date: 10th Dec 2016 Saturday LEDGE13 is a post grunge | hard rock | alternative rock band whose originals are based on reality, like believing in oneself, freedom, being on a road trip, broken heart, betrayal, love, hope & anti-establishment. Ledge13's front man Rajesh Purigella's music is an ode to his journey of following his heart - from dentist to full-time musician The dictionary defines ledge as a narrow horizontal surface projecting from a wall, cliff, or other surface. For Dr Rajesh Purigella, however, it meant something else - something he was not supposed to do/make inside the tooth during a root canal. Today, Purigella is the frontman of the band Ledge13, a rock band behind which lies a tale of revolt. Wanting to pursue music full-time against the wishes of his parents, the name was chosen to signify his individualistic path. And '13' is another nod to his anti-establishment ways. "Ledge is the only hope to hang on to if you were to slip and fall from a tall building, which I almost did once. It also signifies living on the edge," he says.
