Silver Talkies, the social enterprise startup and online magazine for 55+ is organizing a journey across the world on tribal carpets with Danny Mehra. Danny is one of the few collectors of rare antique carpets woven by nomadic tribal groups from Central Asian countries. The workshop is a colorful insight into the magical world of carpets. Participants can learn about the symbolism behind some of the icons in the carpets, the stories behind them and how to assess the value of one. The event is open to all, especially people over 55, in keeping with our theme of silvers first but those who are truly passionate about this rare form of visual art, we say don't miss it guys!
